The Southern Tablelands Ecosystems Park (STEP) is a regional botanic garden, education and conservation centre demonstrating southern tablelands species within the National Arboretum Canberra.
The STEP community group works in partnership with the Arboretum to create and sustain this garden. We meet every Thursday morning and our activities include planting, propagation, path-making, watering and weeding. It is a very relaxed and sociable morning, punctuated by a delicious morning tea with much lively conversation.
Newcomers are always welcome and there is no need to contact us in advance. We normally start work between 8:30 and 9 am. Morning tea is at 10 am and we finish about 11:30, but people come and go according to what suits them.
